Job Seekers FAQ
Table of Contents
Do you have any jobs listed?
NO. Because we don’t work like a traditional Employment Agency we do not publicly list our employer vacancies.
Can I register with you?
We do not keep a register of people looking work, however if you are referred to us by your Work and Income or ACC case manager we can and do work with you to seek out employment opportunities.
Is there a charge to use your services?
Our services are free to those job seekers referred to us by a Work and Income or ACC case manager.
We do charge fees for our professional job search services. Please refer to our job search services page.
What do you do?
We advise, support and help you with your Job search. Back to Work Limited provides personalised 1:1 help and support for people looking for work. We do not run courses or provide skills training for people.
We can help with Motivation and Confidence, Clarifying your job search direction, learning Interview techniques, Job Search Tips and Tricks and Curriculum Vitae preparation.
Because everyone is different, we help people in different ways, but ultimately our focus is on helping you to get the best possible job as quickly as possible.
Our combined practical and real life experience working in the job market means we know exactly what you need to do to increase your chances of finding work.
What sort of jobs do you help people get?
We work across all Industries and all levels of employment. If you have the skills relevant to the jobs you are seeking then we can help.
Is there anywhere else I can go to get professional help?
Unless you are receiving support via Work and Income or ACC, there are very few, if any, private companies that exist to help you personally. Our experience is that there is very little personal help available from people with our specialist knowledge and expertise.
You can register with Employment Agencies as part of your job search strategy.
Career Guidance counsellors are possibly a great place to start but they may not have practical job placement experience and won’t actually help you find a job.
There are literally thousands of websites with Tips and Tricks and Templates and Standardised Letters you could visit – but that too can be confusing and is that really personalised for you?
In our experience, many of these websites are produced in the USA or the UK and the advice and information may not be relevant or apply to you here in NZ.
