James Maguire

Founder and Managing Director
Vocational Consultant

Graduating from UC in 1986 with a Psychology Degree, James started his career in the local employment industry, spending time in executive recruitment, government and private employment agencies before establishing Back to Work Employment in 1999. James completed his Bachelor of Social Services (Career Practice) in 2021.

Karen Courtney

Employment Coordinator

Joining Back to Work Employment in 2017, Karen has been helping job seekers since 2003, including linking people to the right employers. Nothing gives her greater satisfaction than seeing people succeed in life, and she will do everything possible to help make this happen.

Kim Horisk

Employment Coordinator

Kim has been part of the Back to Work Employment team since 2011 and is very experienced in assisting job seekers and employers: matching people to work. Kim is highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic.

Jackie Pearce

Receptionist and Administrator

The friendly Face (and Voice) here at Back to Work Employment. Jackie’s history in administration and coordination roles gives her the experience to manage the variety of tasks required in her role as Receptionist, Administrator and first point of customer contact.
